Kallis, who headed the batting rankings for much of this year, dropped three rating points after a duck-his first in four years-his first innings against Australia in Cape Town. Sangakkara scored 516 works-the second unit test series to Sri Lanka in the three matches against Pakistan, with two hundred and two half centuries in averaging 86.00. South Africa Vs Australia: Live Cricket Tests, Blog

Dismal second innings effort of Australia 47 leaves South Africa needing only 155 runs to win the first test at Newlands. Join us from 19.00 ADST and find out whether you can find nine wickets Australia needed to win.

Day 2 in Cape Town saw one of the most bizarre day games in the history of testing, with all parts of all four innings to take his place in the day.

Michael Clarke 151 expects to have Australia in commanding position and the visitors looked set for victory after rolling PROTEAS to 96, a 188-run lead in this process.

But things quickly pear-shaped after the Australians their first nine wickets for a paltry 21 passes before eventually all 47, their lowest total since 1902.

Frailties of Australia against quality fast Bowling mercilessly exposed again and again, with experienced batsmen such as Ricky Ponting and Michael Hussey among the main offenders.

It was a disastrous innings for the Michael Clark and undone much of the progress party has done in the tour of Sri Lanka earlier this year.

But the test is still well and truly up for grabs and step, certainly has enough in it for the bowlers.

Shane Watson (5/17) and Ryan Harris (4/33) PROTEAS in the first innings were destroyed and if they are in a position to circulate their speeches today, Australian victory could still be on the cards here.

Australia's bowlers can resurrect this test after the disgraceful performances of top order last night? Join us from 7.30 pm by AEDT on for live score updates and comentary of all action and don't forget to leave your comments below.
