Members of India, a very popular film industry and fans, celebrating the birth of a girl in Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and husband actor Abhishek Bachchan.
The birth was announced on Wednesday morning on micro blogs Twitter Abhishek.
Father-in-law of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan tweeted he was "overwhelmed" greeting messages.
Child-Aishwarya Rai-first child was born in the Indian city of Mumbai.
Abhishek's Twitter page was inundated with congratulatory messages.
