Three earthquakes shook Oklahoma today, 5 November.

Authorities say that aftershocks could be felt as far away as Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas, according to the AP.

U.s. Geological Survey to your Web site reported that in 2: 12 am, 4.7 magnitude earthquake.

The epicenter was six miles north of Prague in southern Lincoln County, Oklahoma. The AP lists it as 50 miles east of Oklahoma City and 75 miles southwest of Tulsa.

3.4 Magnitude aftershocks have been reported in 2: 27 am and then another 2.7 magnitude in 2: 44 am

"Oh, man. I've never experienced anything like that in my life, "said Prague City Police Department Manager Claudie Morton in the Tulsa World."It was the scariest thing. I was a police officer just come in and sit down and all of a sudden the wall started shaking and rattling windows. It felt like the roof was going to go the Police Department. "

The man says the photos were knocked off the wall, boxes were shocked by the loose objects fell out of the cupboards and a lot of people and pets were woken up movement.

Severe or damage were reported, though.

"We have several damaged buildings in the city, but it's just cracks and things like that," Morton said. "Nothing is destroyed or anything like that," said Morton.

"We're just shaking and scared us to death," he added.

Many residents were frightened. Phone calls flooded the police departments.

"At first I thought that the plane crashed nearby," Heather Spicer Sapulpa Oklahoman said. "But now I believe that it was an earthquake because the whole House just kept vibrating with what sounded like distant thunder outside."

This is the fifth major earthquakes shake in the United States over the past four months, according to the United States Geological Survey.

Oct 20 earthquake magnitude 4.8 hit Southern Texas.

Virginia earthquake 23 Aug, the most extreme of the five, had 5.8 points.

Effects were felt to the East Coast and into Canada and parts of the Midwest. Four foot crack was found in the Washington Monument.

Aug 22 and 23 August earthquake hit Colorado. One was 4.6 points and another earthquake magnitude 5.3.
