Giant Lego Man Washes Up On Beach Siesta Key

SIESTA key is a PR stunt, but whose is it?

On the shore of siesta key beach washed up on Tuesday morning was 8 feet Tall Lego man, his shirt, emblazoned with the mysterious and grammatically challenged message: "Not real than you".

Jeff Hindman was walking the beach and saw a 100-pound figure in pre-dawn light. Marine life, thinking it was washed ashore the night and left ankle deep in the gentle surf, Hindman got closer and discovered the statue was made of fiberglass, as the vessel.

He took the photo, and then dragged Lego people out of the water and got it.

Gathering a crowd throwing out theories.

Artist's statement on the human condition in the twenty-first century? The toy, which dropped the boat? Marketing campaign for new Legoland amusement park near Orlando?

"It doesn't make sense," said Hindman.

Similar to Lego men with the same grammatical distortions were found on beaches in Holland in 2007 year and England in the 2008 year. On the back of Lego siesta key men's dress shirts is the title of "Ego Leonard" and number 8.

Leonard ego is supposedly the name of the Director of the Netherlands, but it was not clear if this was real name or real artist was for work. The title on the Web site of Leonard, written mainly in Dutch, "there is no real than you" and the home page has a picture of Lego men.

Message sent Leonard was answered in the first person.

"I'm glad that I had crossed the border. Although it was a hell of a swim, "the e-mail said. "Good weather here and friendly people. I think I am I am going to stay here for awhile. The local sheriff was escorted me to my new House. "

LEGO heads, so that no part of the Lego people. A spokeswoman for Legoland said man Lego-forgery and not endorsed by Legoland or its parent company, Merlin Entertainments Group.

Lego man currently being detained. Sarasota County Sheriff's deputies didn't know what to do with the shape or to return it so that it now is owned by the Sheriff's Office. If no one claims it within 90 days, Hindman became owner.

Hindman says: "I put it on eBay."
