Muslim Supporters To Protest The Visit To Obama


Jakarta, Indonesia (AP) — members of the hard-line Muslim group protested outside the Embassy of the United States against the forthcoming visit of President Barack Obama in Indonesia.

More than 1000 members of Hizb ut Tahrir rallied outside the United States Embassy in Jakarta on Sunday. One of the banners and posters on the screen as follows: "Obama to reject, reject capitalism and imperialism."

In Indonesia's second largest city of Surabaya was held another protest, about 800 people.

Obama comes to Indonesia to attend the East Asia Summit in Bali. Washington has put its mark on the Summit agenda in the area of security, including stopping the proliferation of nuclear weapons.

Hizb ut Tahrir has accused Washington of a hidden agenda to urge other countries to unite against China to ensure the dominance of the United States in the South China Sea.
