Happy Halloween: The Story Behind Google In The 1000 Pound Pumpkin


Happy Halloween, Google says in their pumpkin carving videos. Here's the story behind YouTube doodle and these massive Halloween event.
Happy Halloween, everyone. The best way to celebrate this spooky occasion than with some massive pumpkin? Google doodle team picked out six huge Pumpkins for their special video tribute. How big are these pumpkins? Some of them more than half a ton!

"Celebrate Halloween this year doodle team wanted to capture that exciting transformation that takes place when carving pumpkins, writes Sophia foster Dimino, Google doodler. "Instead of picking up several pumpkins from the grocery store, however, we decided to work on six giant pumpkins, specially brought from nearby Half Moon Bay (some weighing over 1000 pounds)."

The largest Google tipped the scales at 1298 pounds. Even after scooping out seeds, the team estimated that six inch thick walls of the pumpkin "L".

The team cut out of their way to the Google campus in mountain view, California, this process takes eight hours.

Ms. foster also affects Dimino blog interesting connotations of Halloween.

She writes: "when I was a small child, Halloween seemed like most adult holiday of all." "An exciting night of the year, I didn't go to bed late trick look scary movies with my friends and have a sharp and pointy objects (security first, of course!) while carving pumpkins in the macabre. Now that I'm older, a little bit changed my mind on Halloween. Currently, the holiday that celebrates the most childlike sense of wonder and amazement. "
While Google celebrated Halloween with doodle several years in a row, this is one of the few video doodles. Search engine used to great effect in tribute to him by John Lennon. He also poked a little fun with the video in honor of Charlie Chaplin.
